Learn the basics of Tarot for self-study and storytelling with Coleman Stevenson of the Dark Exact and Claire Burgess of The Word Witch Tarot. Participants will explore different approaches to interpretation, including methods of deck handling and storage, introductory spreads for reading the cards, ways of asking questions and synthesizing readings, and helpful tips to remember card meanings.  We will also discuss narrative aspects of the Tarot, including variations in card imagery, the Fool’s Journey of the Major Arcana, and themes of the Minor Arcana. Participants should bring a copy of any standard Tarot deck to the workshop if they have one, but decks will be available for use during the class as well.
